Another Physics teacher shares resources on Youtube

Posted by: ozymandias1 on: October 13, 2008

Tom Healy teaches Physics in Cabinteely Community School and for quite a while now has been uploading revision videos on Leaving Cert Physics to youtube. He has almost 50 up there by now and has divided them into Mandatory and Non-mandatory experiments.

A wonderful way to revise, but also a wonderful resource for any new teachers.
Why couldn’t this have been available when I was starting out?

Thank you for this Noel, its an absolute god-send!!
Along with your own videos quite a resource bank is being built up!

Thanks for that Enda;
He may even do requests if you ask nicely :)

Hi again Tim,
Just been looking at your blog which is great and would love to feature it on Scoilnet. However, I know that YouTube is blocked on the Schools Broadband network and wondered if you thought about uploading your videos to Teacher tube, which isn’t blocked. What do you think? I will still feature it as I know many teachers will access it at home.
Kindest regards

Hello Sharon,
I have a little bee in my bonnet about youtube being blocked and have posted about it before.

It’s a little too much work on my part to upload the videos on different sites, but if anyone else is prepared to do it . . .?

As a matter of interest, does Scoilnet have a postion on this?

Cheers,
Noel

Hi Noel and Tom,

Well done on your physics video work thus far, keep up the good work.
Regards Tim
